Pirate Treasue Chest Pinata

Pirate Treasue Chest Pinata

To piñata or not to piñata? This and other questions plague the minds of mothers everywhere deciding how much effort to put into party games. Quite late in the piece I decided to Piñata and this was what I came up with. I quite enjoyed the process actually and found another use for my Tim Holtz distress inks. I just rubbed the rusty hinge colour roughly around the brown paper I used to cover the box and the result was as per expected an aged look. My son even got it, he said “It’s all dirty and old because it’s a pirate chest aye?” And I replied “Aye me matie it be an old seafarers booty arrrrggh!”  Or  “Don’t bug me I’m busy with an insane amount of preparation duty for your party.” One of those two I don’t remember which.
